Must agree with G Webbstock - what a sad case for a company - have been trying for a month to explain the same story to all the consultants - when you call it says that the call will be recorded and when you talk to a consultant they all say that they make notes on the system and tomorrow and the day after and the next and the next it is the same story - send an e-mail and all you get is an automatic response - shame.....

This company has no humanity or ethics. When the sun shines, they give you an umbrella, but as soon as it rains they take the umbrella away.

I have informed BlueBean about the death of the account holder but to my surprise they still sent letters from the sheriff office demanding money from the deceased. Will they ever be able to sort out this issue?

I recently had a problem with an overseas purchase using my Blue Bean card in Hong Kong. I tried to call the number listed on the back of the card, but it did not word. I then called the FNB Platinum card division and the call was redirected immediately to Standard Bank BlueBean. But then I had to wait almost ten minutes before the call was answered. I tried to explain that I was calling from Hong Kong, but was put on hold and the consultants had no idea what to do. After discussing my problem for more than two hours I still did not have an answer - and to add insult to injury - was left with a telephone bill of R940. If it takes that long to stop / cancel your card, I wonder how long it will take to refund your money. They informed me that my card can only be stopped or canceled if it was compromised. I can now understand why banking crime is so high in South Africa. Instead of being pro-active, they present a careless attitude. The result is that the innocent like me is then treated like criminals. Please Blue Bean get more competent staff.
